This program was originally developed by the Joint Council on Thoracic Surgery Education (JCTSE) for presentation at the 2014 STS Annual Meeting. It was designed to address the current changes taking place in cardiothoracic surgical education with the format consisting of a series of lectures with time allocated for questions and answers after each speaker.
