During the training program the resident:

1. Performs transvenous and epicardial pacemaker insertion using single and dual chamber pacemakers;
   
   
2. Manages complications of pacemakers (e.g., infections, programming problems, lead fractures);
   
   
3. Implants diaphragmatic pacemakers.
