Clinical Skills:
During the training program the resident:
- Uses an understanding of abnormal physiologic findings to diagnose pericardial
pathology;
- Evaluates and manages patients with pericardial cysts or tumors;
- Performs diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for the treatment
of pericardial tamponade, pericardial effusions, and constrictive pericardial disease.
